Hi there <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/> You requested a critique for this work and I thought I would write a short one for you. When I look at this image I see you are quite good at colour blending and creating shadow/highlights. Sometimes it is better to not go to each extreme of light and dark and instead use a few shades lighter or a few shades darker for your extremes. The values (greyscale levels of light and dark) will be less harsh, leading to a more visually appealing picture. Now on the more form side of things I understand your style involves large eyes and it's very manga inspired; However this style does not relate to large noses. Unless you meant to make him look beastly, in which case the nose fits well, but could be better defined. This isn't the problem but the anatomy is. Once again the shadow and highlights are too extreme here as the dark recedes and the light comes foreward, it seems he has a large v shaped lump on his neck. I know that this is a human feature, but it is not this large. Just a thin highlighted V would suffice here. To conclude it is important to study the human body and practice drawing the figure at least for a little while to strengthen your understanding and ultimate contribute to more convincing artworks in the future.

Hope this helped and did not offend; but instead help you, as you requested this critique.
